About

The aim of the International Society of Perfumer-Creators is to unify all of the Perfumer-Creators around the world.

The International Society of Perfumer-Creators is an independent, international, association that aims to define and recognize their status, defend the palette of their ingredients, and label the needs and training requirements of future Perfumer-Creators.

ISPC Milestones

Under the impetus of Maurice Maurin and Raymond Chaillan, and with the support of the Société Française des Parfumeurs, a group of 11 perfumers was set up to reflect on the status of the perfumer-creator, to define the profession, the framework for its practice and the prerequisites for entry.

2011

The awarding of the title of Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres to 5 perfumers by the French Minister of Culture has encouraged the pursuit of these ideas on January 23, 2012.

2012

Creation of a committee of 30 perfumers who adopt the title of Parfumeur-Créateur. Consultation with the heads of the main composition companies, who affirm their interest in SIPC.

2013

Founding members Raymond Chaillan, Sylvie Jourdet, Maurice Roucel and Patrick Saint Yves sign the association's 1901 statutes on July 25, 2014.

2014

First Board of Directors made up of members of the Committee of Elders. committee. Raymond Chaillan is elected Chairman.

2015

Membership open to all perfumer-creators worldwide.

2016

Renewal of part of the Board of Directors and election of a new President, Calice Becker. Committees set up to work on the association's objectives.

2017

Creation of the SIPC label, official recognition of the perfumer-creator® title.

2018

Beginning of the reflection and elaboration of the perfumer-creator charter, whose ambition is to federate all perfumers around a common ethical code for the profession.

2020

Francis Kurdjian elected Chairman. Launch of partnership with IFRA.

2021

The Société Internationale des Parfumeurs-Créateurs becomes the International Society of Perfumer-Creators to affirm its international identity and its vocation to unite perfumers worldwide.

2022

Launch of the charter, whose signature entitles each member to a certificate attesting to their status as a perfumer-creator.
